I decided to build my first ar, I have never owned one so i am totally green as far as the ar is concerned. I was wondering if any of you on this site know anything about dsarms.com. I saw an ad in a magazine for tie complete upper for $275. It seem awful cheap compared to others that I have seen. If anybody has used these in the past please let me know how i tperforms for you. By the way I think this is my first post, I've been lurking for awhile, and learning as much as i can.

I guess nobody has any experiance with these. so that is an answer in it itself. it seems that you guys know whats good and whats not so if no opinions I will assume that it sounds to good to be worth the $. I just dont want to start off on the wrong foot , I want to buy quaility but still stay within a resonable budget, so Im open for suggestions/ guidance.

I took a look at it on their site. I cannot speak to their quality, because i have not put one in my hands, but that unit is MINUS BCG and CH, so although a fairly good deal, it is not entirely out of line. It looks as though they are running an "introductory" price on their barrels. Many companies will do that to get their product out there. So, in my opinion, the worst that could happen is you will have a troublesome upper and bad accuracy that will have to be fixed. Best that could happen, is you could have a fine upper that functions and shoots very well at a good price.

Note: DS Arms makes a nice FAL style rifle, so if i were looking to gamble a little, i would go with them WAY over say a Model One, or Hesse, or Blackthorne,  or Vulcan .............etc.

slow shipping not a problem since my budget is limited, its gonna take awhile. I figured itwould be a gamble, may be worth it. Im not sure what a FAL style rifle is though. ill have to look into that.
