I installed my ArmaLite lower parts kit and buttstock kit into my ArmaLite lower today. Frustrating the first time, but I think I'll know what to expect next time (detents flying across the room haha).

It's for my A4 clone.

Thank you guys! I'm waiting for my barrel and bolt carrier group to come in, then I'll be set. And lowroad, I did put some slight scratches on it. Birchwood Casey flat black anodizing pens are your best friend.

well i hope your not the one taking hot brass to the collar bone.

i have yet to build a 20" that was not a varmint gun. all the rest are 16". maybe one day when i get a job i'll buy a long gun.

I'm a right-handed shooter. My best friend is right-handed, but shoots left-handed. Looks really awkward to me. I have one more 20" gun to go (retro XM16E1), then I'll build either a pistol, or buy a 16" carbine. Sounds like you got that ol' black rifle disease too.

ETA: I actually just ordered replacement trigger pins and a take down pins to replace the ones I scratched during the build. Kinda hard to tell in those pictures because I used an anodizing pen. My OCD just won't let me live with scratched pins even if they've been painted over.

Looks good.  BRD is complicated by OCD, isn't it?
