| I need some advice on replacing a standard front sight block with a YHM clamp on. Putting it on is the easy part but how do you line up the gas port with the hole in the gas block? Thanks in advanced for the help |
| Use a #2 pencil to draw a line along the top of the barrel IN-LINE with the gas port. To be honest, I usually just "eye-ball" it and have done over 20 with zero issues. The hole in the YHM gas block is quite large so there is plenty of room. You can even off set the gas block slightly forward to make up for the absence of the hand guard retainer cap (I have found it to be not necessary though). This is MUCH EASIER than you think. |
