Well, after reading through the steps again and again, then mocking it all up again and again I finally assembled the handguard and barrel onto my new rifle.
I didn't get pictures of the process for putting together the lower, but one I took a while ago of the parts I had then.
Now as it sits on my kitchen table:
Looks pretty good, was actually pretty easy and fun to do.
Was looking it over, and I think I got ahead of myself on a step...
So back off the handguard will come tomorrow.
Got into the swing of things and forgot to take the tape off I used to mark exactly where the gas tube hole was.
YHM lower
DPMS lower parts kit
VLTOR carbine model version #2 modstock kit
YHM A3 style upper
YHM 16" threaded fluted 1:9 twist barrel
YHM low profile gas block now with marks from the stupid gas tube roll pin
Larue 10" handguard
Larue index clips
On the list to get soon:
Optics of some sort
Forward vertical grip
Bipod

I would try to lift the tape with sharpen piece of wood scraper.
Good looking rifle

Aw heck, just do a couple of mag dumps and get the barrel hot enough to burn it off!
