How do you tune the gas tube allignment on an AR? What is the exact standard for "alligned"?
I understand that the barrel nut must be correctly timed...that is not an issue but on a couple of my builds, you can feel the carrier engage the gas tube and hear a "ping" when it hits. It passes the drop test and slids on freely but it still seems a bit out of allignment with the carrier key. I saw a thread where it was advised to use a screwdriver to bend it left or right...but what about vertical adjustment? I have an upper that you can see the carrier rise slightly when the key engages the tube. How would you fix that? |
