So ive been building my first AR for the last year. Ive gotten my lower done as far as a standard issue M4 goes. Not Im workin on the upper. Ive run into some deliemas. First, What kind of barrel should i get? I dont think Ill be shooting it often so a chrome lined barrel wouldnt be a need, but I dont want to have to clean it every 2 days or 60 rounds so chrome lined is a must. Then next issue is sights/optics. I have a carry handle fixed rear sights I can use for now along with a flip up BUIS rear sight. My issue is the front sight, fixed or BUIS? keep the carry handle or use the BUIS rear? Attach an optic to the carry handle or use the BUIS with the optic? Should I use a standard front sight or a gas block? I am however thinking about goin with a FF barrel. Man, Ive been out of the AR/M16 loop for a while Ive forgoten just how GQ these rifles can get.
