New here and this is my first build, almost complete...
As it sits right now mega machine stripped lower/upper combo with Daniel Defense lpk and magpul miad and ctr stock. I painted the roll marks and swapped in stainless takedown pins and trigger/hammer pins from tactical innovations. Just got my barrel and vortex last week now just waiting to order the Adams arms kit and rail system...

I was having some issues with it last week when I assembled my upper. I installed a tubbs flat wire buffer spring today and it solved all my problems  !

98snakebite, this was a limited run mega put out for the usual suspect network and just happen to have a friend who ordered two of them and was willing to part with one of them.
Kaotic, I plan on going with the adams arms kit, and I think that the stainless vortex has been available for a couple of months. Could be wrong though. Can you explain the process for painting the marks? Thanks. |

leeslikkers: I just used Testors model paint and the smallest brushes I could find. I mixed the paint with a little bit of testors thinner, and then you just simply dip the brush into the roll mark and it pretty much fills itself in. Then using some hoppes and thinner go back over the top of the marks with patches and remove the extra paint. I let my paint dry overnight then removed the excess the next day. Their is a link on ar15armory.com I believe and even one on here somewhere. Here is another pic just after painting...

| i know you said you were going to use adams arms piston system on your rifle but have you seen this one from osprey defense. im not a piston person but this one got my attention for siplicity and ive been keeping an eye on them. |

Ive seen the osprey one but i think the Adams arms guys really have come up with a product that kicks ass and they seem to really stand behind it, judging by what I have seen on here and how well they are willing to answer any question no matter how dumb. Im not trying to get on Adams Arms jock but I think their piston is the best out there from what I have seen... Maybe somebody could prove me wrong |

LOL, its not 100% yet, still have to do the rail covers, forward grip, and optic and put on a set of MBUS and the foam on the ACE. I should get it done by the weekend with some luck ! I ll post pics Awesome! I think it's pretty cool, but I'd probably never do it myself.
