I have a post ban Tactical Entry with the fake muzzle, can this be removed?  I want to do the job myself if possible.

Thanks in Advance...

I posted this in the RRA Industry but didn't get any answers, hoping someone here  would know....

As I recall, that is a press-fit sleeve that is pushed down over the barrel. I do not recall if the barrel has any special fluting or finish to help hold it on. Either way, it's not a simple "grind out the pin and turn it off" kind of project.

I waited 7 days for a reply on the other thread and it only took 4 minutes here thank you again.

This is the one where the rifling extends to the end of the fake brake, right? If so, taking that off and having threads added might take you under 16" and could result in a funky profile behind the threads. Are you planning to have another unit pinned on after getting this one off?

Be sure to discuss this with ADCO before you send it off. Surprises are always better when they're sprung before the process starts.

If it's like the one I have, I researched it when I was thinking about having mine removed.  My understanding is mine has splines on the barrel that the fake suppressor slides over.  The thread about removing them when the ban went away said you could do it and the thread was showing a spacer behind the flash suppressor to cover where the flash suppressor was if you wanted to stay at 16".

You are better off buying a new barrel & selling the old one off to those of us in a ban state.

Thanks for the info, too bad I didn't see the other replies before I sent the barrel to ADCO this morning.  Anyway I will email Steve to address these concerns.  I ordered a Vortex flash hider for the barrel.
