I am about to install the following on my Colt HBAR....
DD M4 FF handguard
DD low profile GB
CAA CBS stock
Hogue Overmolded grip

Anything I should know?
Anti - seize grease on the barrel nut, right? anywhere else?
Loctite or no loctite? which one? what parts?

use a A2 carry handle to line up the receiver with the handguard.

Any other useful info I can use?

Haven't used the DD FF or gas block, but FWIW...

Grease the inside of the gas block before your slide it down the barrel.  I'd rather clean grease than look at scratches.  You might need to twist it once you get it into place.

Measure a lot so you know where the end of the gas block should be to get the port over the barrel's gas hole.  The indexing pin will tell you where it needs to be rotated to, but once the gas block slips over the gas hole, you have no idea where it is.  On an M4 profile barrel, it's the block needs a slight gap between itself and the shoulder, which is where the handguard cap would normally go.

If there are any proprietary tools for the DD rail install, get them.  I tried using a standard two prong armorer's wrench on a YHM barrel nut for a YHM FF install...  my next purchase was a YHM barrel wrench (three prong) along with a new YHM barrel nut.

I would not loctite the extension/buffer tube for the stock into place until you have shot it a bit and know that is definitely the length of tube/stock you are going to use.  It's an easily exchanged part, but a pain to break loose with loctite, and it will hold well enough without for the first few hundred rounds, if not longer.  Once you are sure, take it off, drop of loctite on the extension threads, and put it back on.

Just my advice, plenty of build write-ups here to read.

The only problem with that is I live in the Republic of New Jersey. Cant have a collapsible stock. Have to pin it to be legal here. Going to have to get a feel for it in thebackyard or basement.

I have probably read more than 80 pages on here

Thanks for the heads up, that will get me started.

Anyone else care to chime in?
