I am a lefty and will be needing a ambi selector switch for my build. I am building on a Mega Billet and was wondering if there is any particular brand that is better suited for billet builds or if they are all prety much the same. My local gunsmith has a DPMS in stock for $30.00 and was thinking of going with that. I noticed that LMT advertises theirs as being wider and good for billet builds. I figure they are all made in just a couple of places so quality will be about the same no matter what i go with. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Being a Lefty also, I am going to get one of these for my  Colt 6721.
Who would make the best, or are they mostly the same???

In total I have two Bushmaster and three CMT ambi selectors in my builds. I'd get a CMT from Rainier Arms like another poster suggested. I've had bad experiences with DPMS lower parts.

Ambi safety's suck! If your left handed call OLYMPIC ARMS and get a reversible selector. Mike

Im lefthanded and i hate the selector rubbing on my trigger finger. I machined my own before i found out OLYMPIC ARMS sold a reversible selector. Mike

I agree.  I too am a lefty and I hate the safety lever interfering with my trigger finger.  Thus I found that the ambi-safety is a waste.  Thus I am currently building my first lower and I got a J.P. Enterprises reversible safety which I am using to put the safety lever on the RIGHT side of the lower instead of the LEFT side where it interferes with my trigger finger.

Good luck.

Don't care for RRA ambi safties/selectors due to the tiny allen that holds them together.....prefer the DPMS versions. They have worked well on my builds. Other posters mnetion interference with trigger finger...I have not found this to be an issue.

YMMV

Nor have I.  I have RRA, Bushmaster and DPMS ambis.  They are all about the same.  Simple install and well worth it.

It's never got in the way of my trigger finger and I'm a lefty too.I use both sides of the safety selector.I like having both sides to manipulate it from either side.I"ll use the right side to take the selector off and the left side to engage the safety selection.

The guy from Magpul does the same thing, only right handed. I'm actually ambidextrous and can shoot with either hand. I've always qualified shooting right handed as I am right handed but recently found out I'm left-eye dominant and shoot rifles much better left handed. I've never had a problem with the selector getting in the way of my trigger finger on my left hand.
