I have a Bushmaster M4A3 "Patrolman's Carbine" that I have had for a few years and I love it. I'm planning on doing another build and using mostly Bushmaster parts and I plan on duracoating most of it (lower and upper receiver, barrel, etc.). The only question I had was about the barrel. Should I use a 1/7 twist? IThe guy at Bushmaster told me that the only real advantage to the 1/7 is that you can shoot heavier grain bullets. He said that for anything high 60's grain and lower, I wanted to be using the 1/9. I will probably never shoot higher than that so is he correct? Also, here's a list of my planned build. Any suggestions or criticisms would be appreciated.

Bushmaster Lower Receiver
Bushmaster Upper Receiver with M4 feed ramps
Bushmaster 1/9 twist 16" M4 type barrel assembly
RRA Lower Parts Kit with Bill Springfield 3lb. trigger job
Young Manufacturing Chrome Bolt Carrier
Bushmaster Titanium firing pin
Bushmaster Misc. parts (ejection port cover, charging handle, buffer tube)
Daniel Defense 7.0 Lite Rail
Magpul Stock, Grip, and Enhanced Trigger Guard

The guy at Bushmaster gave you good info on twist rate. If you know you'll be shooting heavier, longer ammo then go with 1:7.

Still looking at your list...
