What Multi Tool would you recommend, I have read a little about the two on MidwayUSA, complaints say that the Stoner wrench is slippery and can damage your rifle, and some people are saying that the DPMS one has weak barrel nut pins...

What other ones would you recommend?

Hmmmmm...I use a DPMS & have had absoluely no issues, I like the tool very much. However, I do not use the "pin" side of the tool to take off/put on barrels, I use the 'scalloped" side of the multi tool to engage the nut. This, I believe, spreads the torque force more evenly along the barrel nut & gets me more bang for my buck when taking off or installing a barrel, as such I have not damaged any barrel nuts in my builds...and I have had some pretty damn stubborn barrel nuts to take off. In any case, you must be certain to use enough force against those damn Delta springs to keep the tool engaged across the nut, that is the single most important point.

I also have the DPMS multi tool... I searched long and hard before buying one but after finally seeing it in person at my local gun shop I decided it was deffinitly the best quality one. I have had no problems with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great tool.
Used it for my barrel nut quit a few times already with no problems. Also have taken off and put on about 5 stocks with no issue. The flash hider part works good too. Great tool for the money and I don't think you will have any problem with it. Even if you did, I'm sure DPMS would take care of it for you.

I have a NcStar folding multi tool.  Works pretty good, I just keep it in my gearbag.  Here's a link to it.
