I thought that I would document the proccess of my first build. Any input and suggestions would be apprciated.
I got two consecutive serial numbers from KD. I think that these may be two of the final lowers that they are EVER producing. There is nice package comming from midwestpx.com arriving tommorow with all my needed Magpul parts (stock, grip, handguard, and rear MBUS sights) Looking for sugguestions on a LPK. I think that on this first one I am going to go FDE and black on the second build. Will keep the pictures comming as itmes come in. |

It should be here sometime soon! I ordred the Daniel Defense AR15 Lower Parts Kit. I will post more pics as I start to install it. I am also lost on what to look at in regards to the Stock Component Kit. I have been looking at the LMT Stock Component Kit but it is a little high at $82.00. Looking for advice in what direction to go for that as well as if the LMT Stock Component Kit is worth the cost. |

So I picked up a LPK from Daniels Defence at my local gun store and installed it tonight. It was not all that difficult. The hardest part was being careful and makeing sure that I did not scratch anything on the lower. The safety selector was a little tricky since I did not know that the hammer needed to be cocked. Did a function test and all went well. Next I need to buffer kit and an upper and I am ready to rock. I am going to some BLM land this weeknd. I may bring it along just in case someone lets me slap on there upper onto my lower. Well here are some pics! ENJOY!!

So after a wek weeks the build is done. I was in Florida a few weeks back and picked up a 16 inch M4 upper from Spikes as well as the buffer tube kit. I must tell you that the guys over at Spikes really are the best. I will be buying from them in the future. I came home and put it all together and beside a small issue with a front detent pin that flew across the room and I could not find it is all put together. So I submit to you my first completed AR build. Still trying to decide what to mount for an red dot. I am open to input and suggestions from you guys on my next build since I have a second stripped lower for KD here in San Diego inching to get started.
