Hi folks,
This is my first post here, and I'm glad to say I've started my 2nd build. I'm using a DPMS lower and parts kit along with a Samco grip. I'm leaning toward one of the newer Magpul stocks and definitely a flat upper with chrome-lined M4 profile barrel. I haven't decided whether I want rails on the forend as I'm partial to traditional carbine or M4 handguards. I'm building this to replace my long-lost CAR-15 which was lost in a home invasion a couple years ago. I fell in love with the Samco grip then, after trying a Hogue and a couple others (anybody want a Hogue cheap? LOL). My previous was built on a RRA lower, and I have to say the DPMS has a nicer surface feel. Does/did RRA not teflon coat their lowers, perhaps? |

I wasn't home at the time the home invasion happened. Left to my own devices, I would have called it a burglary, but the police report as well as the charge against those responsible read "Home Invasion," so that's what I call it, too.
Sadly, my AR was among the stolen items never recovered. |
