I have a Smith&Wesson lower what upper (stripped) will give the tightest fit ? My plan is to build a 20 inch HBAR.

I just finished my build using a stripped S&W lower and an M4 upper from Del-Ton:

Fit shouldn't be your biggest concern, everything is standardize so that it should fit. If you're trying to match an upper to your lower, I would be more worried about the color/finish.

I would decide on all the tech specs that you want on your finished product, then shop around for the individual pieces/whole upper assembly.

Any quality namebrand upper should fit correctly. As said before, color match is much more of a problem than actual fit. I have an S&W lower with an RRA upper and the fit is great and color match is spot-on.

I have a CMMG ontop of mine, super tight, but the upper is a little more satin black compared to the flat black of the S&W m&p lower.

I like the slight color difference though........its kinda like black camo ??

I like the fit of the RRA uppers. I have a couple of them and they both fit great. Color match is more an issue, if that matters to you. Check as some uppers have that shiny Teflon coating.

I have two SW lowers. One with a RRA upper and one with a Stag upper. The RRA is a very tight fit without any play, and the Stag is a very good fit with minimal play. The color of the RRA and the Stag both match my SW lowers perfectly.

Maybe I should have said, then, since the above poster's does match;
My DTI upper I like the looks of a lot, but it doesn't match the lower well at all. It looks very slick in comparison to the lower, and a dark (dare I say glossy?) in comparison to the M&P more rough texture.

I should have been more specific, Color match is of no concern as long as its black. I am only looking for the tightest fit.
