Just received a upper receiver and stock from Bravo Company. I assumed receiver was a BCM. When I got the shipment there was also a AR15 parts catalog. While looking through it I realized that the upper was not marked BCM but instead had a little symbol like is shown in the catalog for a LMT upper. So any ideas, do I have a BCM upper or LMT upper.
Link to what I ordered. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Upper-Receiver-assembly-M4-Flat-Top-p/flat%20top%20-upper%20-m4%202.htm Link to pick with symbol. Symbol is left of shell deflector just under rail. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/Upper-Receiver-stripped-M4-Flat-Top-p/flat%20top%20-upper%20-m4%202%20stripped.htm |

Its a Cerro Forge. You will find the "keyhole" on LOTS of uppers marketed by other companies. They are good stuff in my limited experience.

I dont think there is any difference between the two upper receivers you linked other than one is stripped and the other has the port door/forward assist. Neither is described as being manufactured by BCM. I was showing the one I ordered and a pic of one with the keyhole symbol since the pic of the one I ordered didn't have the symbol. No the link dose not say the upper is a BCM but none of the uppers on the web site say they are maybe by BCM. I missed the manufacture on the one I ordered. Which is no problems I like the upper and I don't have the white BCM stamped on my gun, I hate to advertise for company's. Funny they have a complete upper in there AR catalog and the description says its a LMT upper but it clearly shows the key hole mark. I thought LMT made there own stuff. You never know what the company's are doing or were they are getting there stuff. I have no problems with the upper, it mated up to my RRA lower great and the finish between the two are close. know if only the rear ambi sling mount I ordered from midway would have fit over the threads of the BCM buffer tube without a little dremal tool work all would have been easy. Thanks for the help guys. |
