DIY projects always cost more than just buying the thing up front, but they are more fun.  Here are a few I've built.

A gun case foam cutter (used one time, works great)  The instructions came from the Foam Cutting Thread.

A receiver block for an odd shaped Sun Devil upper

Bottom of the block attached to an A1 upper............   a makeshift lower receiver block (from a cutting board)

Ammo can organizers - They hold about 600 rounds of 5.56, .40 and .45 handgun and .22 for a conversion bolt.

Ammo cans with stickers, stacked as they fit into the can....and a modified gas block used as a jig (not really DIY, I guess)

And my work area's bench top made from layers of plywood, painted gloss black.......in the A/C garage (mandatory in South Florida)

Dang RLR, I remember your ammo trays but didn't know you were that handy.  Where in Florida are you anyway?

DAMN! Great job! My next project is going to be a box that sit on the floor in the cargo area of my hummer. It going to have 2 drawers that slide out for guns and ammo. I know they sell these boxes, but I like to customize I wish I had a nice work shop area.....
