I just finished building my lower and performed the function check http://www.ar15.com/content/guides/functionCheck/ posted here. I remember seeing a function check somewhere that instructed you to cycle a few dummy rounds. Is this necessary? I'm just asking because it doesn't say so here AND I don't have any dummy rounds.
