Hi guys been checking out the site for a while but just decided to build a rifle.
So I am looking to build a AR 15 from the ground up, my question is I want to do a couple things like a larger mag release and ambi safety. From the sites I have looked at it seams cheaper to purchase a lower parts kit and add the extra's then to purchase each and every part separate. Is this what you guys have found? Am I looking at the right sites? I have looked at quite a few listed here on the forum, ie Model 1 sales, Spikes, AIM surplus ext. Thanks for the help |
| Well I am not sure what I want just yet. I am going to build it from the ground up this I know but if I decide I want this or that then I will do this or that. My first AR is a basic DPMS 16 lite with the A1 carry handle, the only thing I have done to it is put a 2 piece railed hand guard on with a front grip and a custom kydex / scope ring mount for a surefire light. My thought with the ambi safety and bigger mag release is you never know when you have busted up fingers and need to use the other hand plus the wife has a hard time pressing the mag button so I was looking at a bigger 2 finger button for her. |
