Just curious, is the default threading at the end of an AR barrel 1/2x28 or something else?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Dave,

On a .223-5.56 AR the "default" threading is indeed 1/2-28.

Sweet!  Thanks!

I am, just for fun, building a 22 upper (using a standard upper with 22 conversion kit) but dedicated to 22LR so I can shoot using my can (when ever BATFE sends the paperwork back  - 2 months and counting).  The can is threaded 1/2x28.

Thanks again,

Dave

Sounds like fun!  What kind of can did you get?

A 22Sparrow from a company called Silencerco.  Seems like a very smart design.  take apart for easy cleaning and full-auto rated, not that I will ever use it that way.

I have heard nothing but great feedback about the quality and quietness of the silencer.  cant wait to try it myself.

You will like the can I have read good things about it. Go with 12-28

Very nice.  I'd really like to see/hear how that can shoots in person.  I'll have to start asking around and see if anyone local has one.  Enjoy!
