I removed an M16A1 upper from a Stag lower as I'm putting a retro style M16A1 together.
This leaves me with the Stag lower and I'm wanting to assemble a 16" barreled collapsible
stock rifle. I see that Stag makes a nice upper assembly that would probably go well with
my lower but I'm looking for any suggestions on something along the Stag lines [upper with
carry handle is a must for me]. The Stag upper lists for about $545 complete and that's about
my limit $$. Thanks.

If you can find an in stock Stag, go for it, but the lead time on backorders is in the 4 month or more range, I think.

M&A has this in stock right now, 325 + 110 for BCG & CH, + whatever they charge for an A2 upper swap. (Last I heard they had A2s in stock)

PK has a lot of uppers in stock right now, but no A2's that are in your range at the moment.

Unfortunately, A2's like 20" barrels have not recovered from the shortage as fast as the 16"ers and the flattops.

Check at Brownell's and Midway USA to see what they have.
