For those who have installed Geissele triggers, what was the fit of the pins in the receiver?  I sent back a SunDevil lower receiver because the holes appeared to be too big.  The Geissele pins, even the oversize pin just fell right through the receiver pin holes.  I tried the pins in two other SunDevil receivers (including one replaced by SunDevil), and the fit is just as loose.  The pins are slightly tighter in a Noveske N6 308 lower receiver, but still fall through, even the Geissele .1563" oversize pin.  Are Geissele pins just small?  They say the pins should be snug fit.

I just installed a Geissele in my Sun Devil billet lower and the pins fit just right.  I would give Geissele a call to see what they have to say.  Let us know what you find out.

Can you or have you actually measured the pins you have? If you mic the pin out and it's .1563" then that is in fact and oversize pin and should be tight. That big a pin wouldn't even fit in one of my lowers.

Can you describe what you mean by "just right"?  Snug fit, tight fit, etc.  If I put a pin the in the SunDevil (without trigger or hammer in place), and turn the receiver on its side, the pins fall out under their own weight.

Using my micrometer, which is not digital, and is older, but has provisions to measure down to .0001", this is what I found.

Geissele "standard":size pin.  Geissele says is this is supposed to be .1558".  I measure it at .1555".  My measurement is .0003" under what Geissele says.
Geissele "oversize" pin is .0005" over the standard pin, or .1563".  I measure it at .1556".  My measurement is .0007" under what Geissele says.

I am suspect the oversize pin is not oversize at all.  Maybe the wrong pin.  Given the fit of the pins, I do not think even a true .1563" pin would be a snug fit.

I have two Rock River Arms lower parts kit pins and these are a relatively tiny .154 or thereabouts.

What lowers are you using where you have a tight pin fit?

As long as your mic is calibrated (reads zero when clean and closed) digital makes no difference.
It seems like you don't have an oversized pin yet.

My lowers-

While you can see a few tenths difference from different anodizing batches, being loose on an oversized pin is pretty far off. My lowers are nice fit on a .1552 gauge pin.

I would agree, I don't think the pin is oversize.  I will ask Geissele for one.  Or, maybe just order one of your lowers and be confident in your statement about having smaller pin holes.

I put a High Speed Service Rifle set in my Sabre Defense lower. Had to use the large pin, it was snug but not "tight"

I had to use the large pin in my Kaiser Defense lower as well.  The large pin fell right out of a Stag lower I had sitting around.
