Not looking to start another M1 bashing thread but if you've got an upper on order and live near Houston you might want to cancel it and run down to the Brown Convention center for the gun show. I saw quite a few M1 uppers today. Most were the M4 variety.
On a side note I picked up a RRA stripped M4 upper for $115.00 (parts included). That seemed to be a pretty fair price for RRA. |
| I just installed the dust cover and forward assist and noticed some wear marks where the latch for the charging handle catches. I didn't notice it in the convention center (bad lighting or poor eye sight or both). I don't think it's used because the threaded collar for the barrel nut looks brand new but someone definatley cycled a charging handle through it a couple of times. |
