Just got finished with my first two builds and ran about 100 rounds through each at the range yesterday.  Dang are these things fun!  Never had the chance to shot anything less than a 14.5 barrel with a pinned break.  Surprising how well the Vortex works even on a 10.5 inch barrel.   No cycling issues with XM193 brown box.

Next range visit I will be testing out different ammo as well as tuning the Spike .22 conversion kit I picked up.

Nice boom sticks you got there
. But you know now you have to register those lowers and but stocks on them.

They wouldn't have been pistols if i didn't live in Michigan.  We don't get to have as much fun up here as the rest of you!

Next in line is an SPR build that I have about half the parts for....  Now just need to find a 18" Noveske SPR barrel and some foliage green Magpul furniture.

Those are some sweet lookin toys. On your 7'' kitty kat barrel did you have to resize your gas port?

Good job, but you need a couple shoulder things that go up.

Anyway, back to GD for me.

Danner out...

I thought I would have to from all the other posts I had seen, but with XM193 brown box it ran like a top.  We'll see what else it likes next time I go to the range, got a bunch of different .223 and 5.56 to throw at it.

MI doesn't allow pistols?

Doesn't allow short barrel rifles.

I would agree with this!  I'm a State fan.

Indiana is nice this time of year! We have class 3 dealers on every street corner, and no unconstitutional pistol registration or CCW classes. The best part is NO JENNIFER GRANHOLM!!!

I have a buddy who owns a farm in Indiana.  Guess I'm going to have to go move into his barn.

Nice builds.  Would you please tell me what the overall lengths are on both of them?  I'm debating between the 10.5" barrel and the 7.5" with the pig, which doesn't look that much shorter than the 10.5" with Vortex.

Gotta agree on the SBR and UoM stuff as stated above.  Go State!

That EA OD upper/lower looks real nice!  I may have to do something like that here shortly.

I believe the 7" one comes out to about 26" and the 10.5" is about 2 inches longer total.  Now i'm just tring to find 28-30" softcases.  I will double check once I get back to the casa.

The EE green tough coat does look really nice!  I was kind of worried at first about it but it exceeded my expectations.

I was also bummed they weren't selling any OD parts kits (due to the craziness going on) but the black upper and lower parts kit made it look better IMHO.

I keep thinking I want to have one just under 26" (carry legal) to keep in the truck during the day. There was a thread about keeping a rifle in the vehicle, and it got me thinking about accidentally driving into a crowd of obama supporters on a food riot. I wouldn't mind a little more with me than a 9mm or even the awesomeness of the 45. That looks just about intimidating enough to keep a crowd of libtards at bay, and with no doubt offers much better range should a long shot be necessary for any reason.

Notre Dame's two easiest wins will be on September 12th, and September 19th! Just in case anyone was wondering.

What's funny is when my buddy and I went to the indoor range to test fire them, we scared away 3 people because they were so loud.  An off duty police officer who was shooting a handgun came over to talk to us about them and took a couple test shots.  I think we got him hooked...  Bet he'll be registering an account here soon!

How exactly do you fire them with the "pistol pad"?  I think id just throw it up on the shoulder as if there was a stock on it and bang away...

Wow that's a big statement since I'm a Nevada Alum....glad to see we stand a chance against such a team.  We hung with Tech last year for quite some time.

Either this or with the pad butted up against the cheek.  I had to make the 10.5" one with a short pad because I didn't want the PRI charging handle tearing it up, the mil-spec clears with no problems so in theory you could cover the whole tube.
