This is probably a dumb question, but is there any secrets to using an action block?  I just got a Model 1 sales and just placing the upper in the block there is a little play.  Should I put some material around it to make it a tight fit or is it gtg?  Also if anyone has experience with one insalling a LaRue handguard did you have to relieve an area for the locking piece?  It looks like there should be room, but I don't know about when it is torqued down.  Thanks for any help.

While I don't know the exact model you're referring to, I don't believe that a slight bit of play should be a problem.  I'd hold off shimming it with extra material just in case you get the odd material that somehow marks up the receiver.

As for the LaRue handguard, there are some action blocks out there in which you'll need to do 5 minutes worth of dremeling to accommodate, but nothing serious.
