[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need an upper

I found a new Tactical Innovations lower fully assembled with the collapsible stock for $275. I need an upper. I am looking for a 16 inch carbine, M-4 barrel with an A-3 upper( removable handle) What are my best options to find an upper with out paying a fortune or waiting forever.

PK has uppers in stock at the moment, also Bravo company has uppers in stock also. both companies are excellent to deal with, fast and very friendly customer service. the prices are fair also, not the jacked up Obama AR prices

Unless you really want that removeable carry handle, I'd skip it. Just get the flat top without the removeable carry handle. You're going to find that you don't actually carry the rifle with it, and you'll likely want something else sitting up there after a while anyway.
Get a smaller/lower profile rear sight to begin with. Just my recommendation, and experience. I traded my carry handle for a rear flip up and am happy with the decision.

I wanted the carry handle for a couple of reasons: I like the flexibility of being able to use traditional sights or a scope. I also like the traditional AR look with the handle installed.
