I've been looking for a Mid-Length barrel.

I think a Sabre M5 barrel assembly would be ideal. BCM has them for $379, but I haven't ever seen them in stock. I've only been able to find one other site that sells them, but neither offer backorders.

I'd like to know if there are any good sites out there to get AR barrels. I'm open to other brands, but I wouldn't like to sacrifice quality. I don't need a $500 match barrel, I just need a 16" mid-length chrome-lined 5.56mm 1:7 barrel. Couldn't even find any on GunBroker. Does anyone know where I can find one that's either in stock, has some timeframe for delivery (will it be days, months, or years), or can be backordered? My google fu is strong, but I have come up with nothing.

so far, you've given him links to two stainless barrels.  He wants chrome-lined.

And you haven't given him a link to shit!   oops, long night on duty, need more coffee

I'm just giving him links to the closest thing I can find that is in stock.  Guess what, he doesn't have to buy it just because we posted a link o it but who knows, he might see something he likes.

are you serious?  I gave him a link to a 4150, 1:7, chrome-lined, mid-length, in-stock...exactly what he asked for.

I probably should've checked Rainer again before making this topic

That's what I'm looking for, but in case I miss this barrel...anyone have any idea how often these become available? Every few weeks? Once in a lifetime?

Bravo Company has 16" midlength recon barrels in stock:

I bought one a month ago. Nice peice. I did about a 6" group at 200 yards with xm193 for my second time shooting it.

All right, I'm buying the Daniel Defense barrel. I was hoping for an assembly that already had a pinned FSB, but I will need to send this barrel off to have one pinned. The obvious choice is Adco which will pin a FSB they provide for $120. What are my other choices? I don't want to screw around with this build, I purchased the lower for this rifle on Nov 5 last year, so I won't take a chance with any questionable smiths. I just would like to know what the options are.

Also, the barrel has M4 feed ramps. I'll get an upper with M4 feed ramps, but I don't know too many specifics about them. Are the feed ramps pretty standardized across brands? I recall hearing that there were differences, such as Noveske's being rather steep. Should I get a Daniel Defense upper for best match with the feed ramps? What other brands of uppers could I be considering?

Thanks for the help. Arfcom delivers.

It looks like Midway USA has three different sabre middys at the time I am typing this, not exactly what you wanted and all quite a bit more money. Why would you even bother?
