Haven't tried it...

If Olympic Arms is making it... I doubt I ever will.

It is an interesting concept... I like the idea...

Any collapsible-stock variants.... preferably one not made by Olympic?

I've had one for years and used it in my Oly Arms ar-15.  I use it for plinking, 3 gun shoots and whatever else I want to.  I love it!  I have an adjustable one and it gets rid of that God awful ching every time you shoot your rifle.  I wish their was one for the collapsible stocks I would buy it in a heart beat.  They work great and make shooting the AR a lot more enjoyable.

Yes, their name is mud to most here.

Despite being one of the older manufacturers they have managed to not build a reputation for quality.

Mostly by selling substandard product then not backing it.  Out-of-spec 'plinker' cast lowers come to mind.

'Out-of-spec' being that they couldn't manage to drill trigger and hammer pin holes square to the surface and parallel to each other.

Their 'stellar' mail/phone/internet sales practices have also been of particular interest.

AR-15 discussions go the same way as car discussions.....anyone can have good or bad luck with any manufacturer.

I've got several pictures saved away of their quality...

I am sure we all remember the guy whose rifle broke in half where the barrel met the receiver.

That is a drastic example... But they're products generally are poorly finished... sounds like you're dragging a brick down a gravel road to charge one. Then there are the scores of people with "minor" problems (like the holes drilled in the wrong places) that can never get any help on that "life time warranty".

I don't own one... Never have... Never will. I don't have to eat crap to know it isn't food... Just looking at the "quality" of some of their pieces is enough to make any AR lover shed a tear.

Took my plinker in once for the trigger group (shot it enough the parts wore enough) and they replaced the parts and test fired it and handed it back, been running fine since.
