When I hand tighten the KX3 the pig is in the 6 o'clock position. Do I just use a 3/8 wrench to muscle it over to the 3 o'clock position?

Dont want to screw up the threads by over tightening it, just want the pig at 3 o'clock.

Thanks for any help.

use a crush or peel washer

It came with a crush, so no problems just muscling it into place?

as long as the washer is still crushing and not totally flat with no room to move.

I think mine was about 1/2 turn of crush before it went flat. FWIW my KX3 was upside down I think(used existing FH washer on my upper)

The crush washer that came with your KX3 is designed for more than a 360 degree turn.  But it's not designed to do it all at once.  It only takes 30lbs (more or less) to crush it, but then you need to unscrew and torque to 30-35lbs again.  Each time you loosen and tighten, it will advance a little further.  Eventually you'll get that 270 degrees you're looking for.
