I'm getting a 20'' barrel and don't know much about it. It is marked 3s679, which I determined to be FN manufacture. My question is, is it chrome lined? It is also marked 1/7 and MP.

I just picked up a 20" A1 Barrel marked FNM1. It's Chrome Lined but I hadn't been able to find anything about it On-Line. It was a Take Off, the Guy didn't like the 20" Govt Profile. Sold it to me for $40.00...... It's FN, it's gotta be Good. I built it up on a DPMS High Ride Upper Receiver.

SO-13 FNs very first contract w/the US Govt for AR stuff was for replacement barrels for M16A1 rebuilds. You seem to have one of them. Not only did you get a really good price, you got what was probably the best M16 barrel ever made.
