Picked up a Tactical Innovation T-15 lower from a local store.  I've run across them online but had never seen one in person and I have heard mostly about their billet lowers - not as much as the forged like I got.  I bought it mostly because it says "Caliber-Multi" on it and it's intended to go on a .204 Ruger upper that currently wears a 5.56 marked lower.  I have to say, these things are pretty nice and if you're considering a build, it may be something to consider.

The thing that I was pleasantly surprised about is the little nut for the detent.  The lower comes with a nut that screws into the back of the receiver so that once you put the detent and the spring in, it stays there and you can switch out stocks without worrying about it shooting across the room.  The second thing I like is the adjustment screw on the inside of the receiver with a nylon tip so when your upper starts to get old, you can simply turn a screw to adjust the fit and there's no need for an accu-wedge.

The finish is pretty nice too.....going to try to get it done in the next couple of weeks.  Thought I'd pass along the heads up.

Funny thing, I know one of the guys that works there, but I've never see one of their lowers in person... =x

The problem is they don't have any laying around because demand is so high nowadays He says he is going to build one up ( Yeah, he works at an AR factory and doesn't own one...) so maybe then I can check one out.

I have one of their forged lowers. It is a slick piece of hardware.

Fit/finish and the extra features on mine were great.  But, the bolt catch roll pin hole was out of spec(too low)... the catch would not engage.  It's at TI right now... hopefully soon to be replaced.

Wouldn't this mean fit is not so great?

I guess it could.  I meant in regards to the upper/lower fit.

I have two, I love them. I just wish the serial numbers weren't so obvious..
