| how do I get the bottom of the flashhider (solid part) to tighten up at the right spot. |
|
Yep tighten and crush slightly.
Back off the FH. tighten and crush slightly. Back off. Repeat until aligned Try not to exceed tightening past 18-20 ft/lbs of torque at a time. This cant take a lot of repeating. Be patient it will eventually get to where you want it. If it is more than a half turn out of alignment, take the washer off and flatten it slightly with a hammer on a hard flat surface. Don't over do it or you'll be worse off than you were. |

Putting some oil or grease on the faces of the crush washer makes this process a little easier too. |
