so im getting ready to dimple my barrel for a gas block and i was just curious how much depth you make the dimples?

Buy the rainier arms barrel dimpling tool, works great with most lo-pro blocks.

I go as deep as the point of the drill bit.

I went as deep as the point of the drill made a dimple as wide as the face of the set screw that would seat in it, which is probably the same depth as both recommendations as above.
