this is my latest 80%er. its always somrething, and this ones selector detent is off slightly, so its not straight up and down. engravings MUCH too shallow. shoots great though, turns heads.

If that is your only mistake you are doing well.

My first one was a single shot at first - The trigger well was not deep enough, only ~0.025" shallow.  It was enough to prevent the trigger from resetting and the safety from engaging.  Oh well, back to the mill.

Someday I will have a PERFECT, no flaws or scratches, 0%er.

I did that to one or two receivers that I machined.   You can usually modify the safety so that it points straight up even with a detent hole off center.  Either take a dremel and extend the detent slot in the safety of use some sort of filler (JB Weld, weld, solder) to shorted it, depending on wether the hole is out of position L or R.
