I'm completely new to AR's and I'm hoping to build my own this summer.

Should I look into getting a 2 stage trigger? I mainly plan to plink around and shoot some varmints. My budget is under $1000.

If I get a single stage trigger can I swap it out for a 2 stage later on?

Thanks!

yes you can swap out later. i don't personaly care for 2 stages but that's personal preference, they really only have an advantage when it comes to precision shooting (at least that's the only one i can see) most people will tell you to run a single stage for a fighting rifle, but for just plinking you could go either way.

Note: the 2 stage will cost more so for a budget build you may just want a single and maybe upgrade later.
