| I'll be doing an upper swap from a RRA UTE2 to an A3 flat top in a few days. I'll also be installing a YHM rifle length lightweight FF. I dont have a AR wrench but I ordered the YHM FF wrench. My question is, do I have to have an AR wrench to get the old barrel nut off? |

if your not worried about dicking up the old nut then no, just use some channel locks, or wrap a towl around it, then use channel locks...
i have done just about everything on an ar15 using common houshold tools, if you are carfull and think it through you can do anything |
