I am building a flat top upper and I am looking for information on rear sights.

Eventually I will get a scope and/or a red dot sight of some sort, but initially I am looking for some kind of flip up or removable rear sight.

My question is regarding sight in. Many of the battle sighting techniques seem to be based upon the standard A2 style rear sight. It seems that most of the flip up sights do not have elevation adjustments. Can someone recommend a rear sight that has elevation adjustments?

LMT or Matech.

You adjust the elevation by the front sight post with these type of sights.  These are more intended as a back-up should your optic fail.  Being a student of Murphy's Law, I prefer an A1 type rear without elevation adjustment at the rear.  As they are less easily to be finger-fouled by accident once you have them set.  They involve a little more involvement to adjust.

I like MAD, Matech is pretty versatile.  I have one for sale BTW.

Thanks for the information gentlemen.

I picked up an LMT and I have a removable carry handle on order.
