My girl wants this rail on her AR. http://www.newriverarms.net/product-info.php?pid61.html
Its one piece aluminium. Do I have to take off the front sight to put this on? Thanks in advance. |

The sight will have to come off no matter what as it uses it's own barrel nut and I don't know any barrel nut that will fit over even the lowest profile gas block. |

Whoops, that's right. remove barrel nut = remove gas tube = remove front sight. My bad! |

Thanks guys. I dont need a gunsmith to do this do I? It seems pretty easy. If you have the tools to change a barrel and a barrel wrench that fits a free float tube then you should be able to change it. If not it may be cheaper to have someone do it for you since buying the tools for a one time use will be pricey. |
