With the price of ammo lately I have been thinking about these conversion kits. I was wondering if anyone has done this to their AR. This would only be done for plinking. As we all know ammo is getting expensive. Do these "Kits" really work? Are they as easy to install/convert as they claim.  10 seconds? What is the average price and the best place to purchase them? Is it worth it?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Got mine from Spikes.  Had a CMMG that was out of spec and didn't work that I returned.  For $200 they are a good value 25 yards out I had a ragged hole the size of a 50c piece.

Just ordered my spikes conversion.  Hope it goes well.  A lot of folks in the same boat.  I am hording my .223/5.56 for a rainy day and figure this might be a fun way to stay active.

I have an old ceiner style conversion and in my double star I can get about 2.5-3 M.O.A at 100yds...plus its sooooo much cheaper than burning through .223

I honestly can not imagine anyone who has an AR  not haveing a rimfire conversion or dedicated upper.
