| I am new to this forum and would hope to get some advice. I have given up looking for an AR15 around here in OK-there are a few but have almost doubled in price because of you know who. I am now looking at kits-del-ton, AR15-kits, essential arms. Looks like the final prices range from about $650 to as high as $820 (mil-spec barrel and other features). In you opinion, will I get a good rifle from a kit (I realize I could probably get a lower price if I shop around for parts but I'm afraid to wait-never know what will happen. Also, from this forum, looks like the essential arms lower is well regarded-any negatives (notice AR15-kit has a Reggio lower for $141-and are in stock-any opinions?) Better quit asking questions before I wear out my welcome. Thanks for listening. |

Hi drchas Essential Arms lowers are good quality. I ordered 3 about a month ago and they are every bit as good as my DPMS and RRA. I do not know how much you understand about the AR platform but I suggest you read all the posts you can on this web site. I've been a member here for 3 years and have learned a HUGE amount by using the search function and culling through all the posts. I have built two AR's and have this site and it's members to thank. I am not trying to solicit, but I have a new M4A3 upper for sale (IM me if you are interested). Otherwise I suggest you search the Equipment Exchange (EE) every chance you get, and I can guarantee you there are good deals to be had. Cheers |

From one Okie to another; Essential Arms is good stuff. Here is my current build. EA delivered my parts in about three weeks just a few weeks ago.
