I hope this is in the right place. I am trying to put a Sabre Defence Ext. A2 FH on a Colt 6921 barrel. When I screw on with new crush washer, it would require almost a complete turn more to be timed right!  There is no way....it would strip the barrel or the FH. Do I need to go with another type of washer, and can I use more than one to get it clocked right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards,  Bert

You can use a peel washer with your crush washer.

crush washers require a little more torque than hand tight but dont have to be squashed down all the way either. Get it hand tight then keep going till its timed. It shouldn't take much.

I assume you're using a action block or barrel vise?

It will turn enough to clock properly, but you need a barrel vise.  I would not recommend using an action block because you could damage your upper receiver.

Thanks so much for all the help. I appreciate it. I have ordered some Peel Washers from Brownells....going to see how they look. I want to see where it will hand tighten to with one crush and one peel washer. I guess that would work ok. Thanks again,  Bert

I'd use one or the other, but not both.

try "pre-crushing" the washer in a vice a little bit first. (soft jaws)
