I have a 7" barrel, and a KX3 that I am trying to mate with a 7" DD lite rail.

Problem is i'm exactly 1/2 inches short of being able to tighten the KX3 down all the way. I can only get about half the threads (so 1/4 inch) down and would need washers to fill the gap.

Any problems with using washers and only threading it on 1/4 inch ?

I would rather take some material off the front of the rail and touch it up with some alumablack ot paint than have only half of the threads holding the muzzle device on but it's your weapon.
