Just bought two complete RRA lowers with 6 pos. adj. stocks from PK Firearms. Paid $305 ea, not too bad. Anyway, the trigger pulls on these things have got to be in the 10lb range. Question: any good links or sites that describe do-it-yourself tuning of standard AR triggers? Thanks. |

You can swap this hammer spring http://www.jprifles.com/instructions/Rifle/JPS3.5,%20JPS3.5T.pdf There was also instruction how to cut one leg of the heavy hammer spring to lighten the pull weight but I can't find it now Got it http://www.sargenthome.com/15_Minute_AR_Trigger_Job.htm |

Has anyone tried this leg cut method? I'm also interested. |

| I don't like the idea of weakening the hammer spring. I would be worried about it going click (not bang). I took my trigger group apart and took my dremel and a 800 grit sanding disk (not one of those cutting wheels). The disk is paper and won't do much towards taking any metal off. but, it did take of the parkerized black finish and gave me a nice clean bare metal polished to a nice shine. I did this to all the parts that touch each other. When I reassembled the parts it took that nasty 10 pound trigger pull I once had and brought it down to about 5-6 lbs and is a much smoother cleaner pull with a solid break. And did nothing to lighten my hammer strike. |
