I got them on fine, All is well, however, Ieft the top cover off and just realized in order to put the top cover on I have to take the entire rail off

Also noticed I can't take the left side cover off because of the side sling mount

Oh well they are still nice, but kind of sucks you have to take the top rail off the remove the top and left side covers.

You can put the top one on with the rail installed...run it over the upper...it's a PITA but it's doable.

That's what I was thinking. Can't you just pull the charging handle and slide it down the upper receiver and than onto the rail?

Yes, you can.  It's not too difficult.

also put them on with the clips to the rear

Why do the clips go to the rear?

They don't have to, I just found it easier to slide the left side on from the delta ring end because of the side sling mount. Doing that, it was easier to do it with the clip to the rear.

You should never run a rail panel on the top position. One for ease of install of optics and most important heat dispersion. You can not belive how much heat a panel traps if run in this position. If you are worried about protecting the rail run some of the ladder style rail covers. If you run your gun hard it will cook most of the soft rubber ladder type rail covers mounted in this position.
