So, I'm in the process of doing my first lower receiver build following the step by step instructions above. No lost springs or damaged receiver yet. I've got a Sabre receiver and RRA LPK. In step 7 I've run into problem, does installing the safety selector require some tapping ? The safety is hitting the trigger assembly. Is it possible I was able to seat the trigger and hammer pins but the whole assembly be too high?

cock the hammer?

you could take out the hammer, and trigger pin, leave the trigger in w/o pin.  Do the selector, then re-pin the trigger, and install hammer.  Try that anyway

I think you have to slide it in while the safe position also.

install it with hammer cocked, selector on fire

I've only built one, I was going off of the Brownell's instructional videos that says hammer cocked and safety selector should be in the safe position.

I think it'll work either way. I've always had it on fire, simply because there is no detent installed when you first slide it in (so-to-speak) and the selector switch will naturally move to fire due to gravity if the receiver is positioned that way. The key is to have the hammer cocked. Once the hammer is forward, the rear of the trigger assembly will have slight pressure on the safety, which would block it when trying to install. Try and move the selector to safe after a dry fire and you'll see what I mean.

OP, did you get it fixed?

Yes. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm GTG.
