I have an opportunity to participate in a group buy getting in stripped lowers from Tactical Innovations sometime next week. I have not heard anything about them before, so I am looking for some advice from someone who has heard of them before. It is the T15 FORGED PRECISION MACHINED AR15 LOWER RECEIVER offered on their website right now for $169.99, but I am getting it for an even two hundred. The thirty extra dollars will go to an organization I support anyway. MAX |

I found this link to a thread about them. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=124&t=404398 Could anyone else weigh in with their opinion? MAX |

They are nice and that is a good price (MSRP). I like the finish, especially the clean and simple look. No roll marks on the left and limited engravings on the right. The tension screw is a nice feature, I guess, but I don't use it because the uppers I have fit fine. I kept mine simple, RRA LPK (no issues there, just remember you have to cut the takedown pin spring a little, about 1/8"), a FDE Moe grip and Moe stock. I did use the .155 KNS pins on a RRA 2 stage trigger and didn't have any problems with them fitting in the receiver. So, I like mine and would buy another one...or two.

Thanks for the help guys! I've decided to order the lower. It should arrive relatively soon (I hope). I am sure that I will be back here to ask further advice on making additions to this lower. I will post pictures of the rifle when it is complete. I hope that is not too far off... MAX |

Quoted: I found a couple of these local today for $160 and I might go pick one up now that I know they are quality lowers. Sounds like a great price. You should definitely jump on those. Quality is the key. Barring the top brand lowers, it is always tough to judge quality without checking with people who have used them personally. Good thing we have such a great group of friends here at ARFCOM! MAX |
| i managed to get an order in for 2 TI lowers just after the election––just received them a couple weeks ago. They look really good, I just haven't got the time or funds to do much with them. I see now prices have gone up on TI's website $15 since I ordered. I guess that's not too bad.. |
| For those who have used a TI lower I have a question- Since TI uses that little allen screw to capture the takedown spring, do you need to shorten the spring since you are compressing it more than what the stock would? If you use the full length spring and tighten the capture screw flush with the lower, it puts so much pressure on the pin it can't be removed. I am guessing you just need to trim about 1/8" to 1/4" off of that spring. What worked for your build? |

| I just built a T15 BDX yesterday, and the Ace M4 SOCOM end plate that is part of the stock wouldn't fit into the back of the receiver without being worked on. I also checked it with a DPMS end plate I have and that wouldn't fit either. I compared it to another T15 BDX lower I have and again they wouldn't fit, but they fit without modification into DPMS, RRA, and S&W receivers I have. |

On my Denny's Lower I didn't do anything.I installed it just like a regular take down pin without any issues. |

Quoted: i just picked mine up saturday and have no complaints. lpk went in without a hitch, nice fit and finish.i didn't trim my rear detent spring either, thought i might have to but no problems. most mags have been gtg in the magwell but the new "m" pmags are a little snug but not to bad at all. i wouldn't hesitate to pick another one up for my next build if i could find one at a decent price. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v619/1iviper/IMGA2444.jpg Looks Nice! |

Unless that includes the LPK... then it would actually be a good deal.
