[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mag catch doesn't seem long enough

Hey guys, I'm sitting here trying to build my lower and the mag catch doesn't seem long enough to thread on the mag catch button enough. It's a S&W lower with a Stag LPK. Any ideas?

Are you pushing the mag release button in while spinning the mag catch bar on the opposite side?

I thought this video was very well done. Just out of curiosity is there an equivalent video for assembling a stripped upper? I searched but came up empty.
