Guys,
After reading all the posts on this site and seeing some incredible guns I've decided to build my first AR. The gun is going to be for hunting coyotes and range shooting (non competition). I like the idea of the greater range of LOP on the UBR (differnet camo from summer to winter) but like the options of height adjustment of the PRS.

Having never had the opportunity to use either one I wanted to get some input from more experienced AR fans. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have used both and I prefer the UBR.  My buddy loves the PRS.  I love shooting yotes and I have thought of putting the UBR on my 20" Colt just for yotes.

The PRS is cool, but useless IMHO. I had one and couldn't send it back fast enough. The problem is that the riser is so far back that it puts your head in a really funky position. No good for real precision shooting. I like my UBR, but will be relegating it to my .458 SOCOM. It really doesn't have as nice a mount as the E-Mod. The sharp toe digs into my collar bone when it's mounted square up.

I have both and they both have their place. Unless you're using some funky scope/ring/riser combination (which I am on one AR), the added weight of the PRS isn't really justifiable. The UBR is an excellent stock, and it works perfectly with most scope mount setups... And it is lighter than the PRS, although not by a whole lot.

UBR is the Urban Battle Rifle Stock and PRS is the Precision Rifle Stock both from Magpul.  The UBR is collaspible and the PRS is fixed.

Check out Magul's website for more info.
