Anyone now the punch size needed to remove the sling mount in front?  Thanks!!

Before you punch that out it would be best to grind off the head first.  I use a dremel with the cutting disk and move it on the edge of the disk across that peaned over portion till it is flush.  After that you'll be able to see the size of the hole and just about any punch that is smaller will allow you to knock it out easily. If you go real careful you won't even hit the FSB but if you do cold blue works wonders.  If you try to
beat that pin out it might come out but I'll bet it takes some hitting!  I can just picture
that bent up looking FSB you might get

Use a 1/8" drill for the rivet. It will pop out after that.

Get yourself a small punch that fits inside the rivet and knock it out.
