Hi everyone, I have some questions about building an AR. With all this NFA regulations it is kind of scary just ordering parts of the internet. I just bought a RRA lower from my local gun shop here in Las Vegas, but he didn't have the lower parts kit in stock. Everybody here in Vegas are out of stock on parts for AR 15's. I went on RRA's website and found a lower parts kit. On the website it only had a brief description of it. I don't know if it is an nfa regulated part. Are dealers required to inform customers about parts or part of a rifle that needs to be registered with ATF? Also is it legal for an FFL dealer to sell a less than 16" upper reciever to a regular customer? |

Any barrel/assembly less that 16" in length has to be registered with the ATF as a short barreled rifle unless its going on a dedicated pistol lower. |
